We hope to see you there!About The Artists This Month: Tyler Allgood
Tyler Allgood is a self-taught, multi-instrumentalist singer songwriter from Bennington, New Hampshire.“Through the Empty” (released in 2021) is an hour long, full band composition showcasing Allgood’s study of the guitar, singing, bass and piano throughout his career.
Effortlessly weaving genres of music together, the authentic and unique style is best described as Psychedelic Folk-Soul.
Dark poetry storytelling, and deep vocal croons find their home in a beautiful musical setting, including hints of progressive rock that push the boundaries of the most heartfelt writing.
Illustrating a heavy human condition, the depths of alcoholism and recovering, and the turmoil of living with depression and PTSD,
“Through the Empty” is a dedication to overcoming adversity. The oldest piece in this catalogue (“Keep it Rooted”) is about trying to end an eight-year relationship with opiates.
With Ben Rogers from Loud Sun Studio as the recording engineer and featured drummer, Dan Labrie as the featured slide guitar player, and Allgood’s esteemed guitar player Eliot Pelletier adding his flavor to two of the titles songs, this musical hour spares no expense.
Artist Betsy Heron brings the imagery to life “all these years pass through a gold tree” from “Hummingbird Rhythm”, and the inevitable “Empty”.
The project was mastered by Carl Saff from Saff Mastering LLC out of Chicago.
