Painting with wool
For this class, we will learn to use wool as a painting medium to create a painting of a cone flower. You will use loose wool, a barbed needle and a fabric surface. I will teach you how to transfer your paper pattern to the fabric surface, how to blend colors for the flower and how to felt your wool to the surface. You will finish by placing your wool painting in a wooden hoop or frame. No experience is needed.

All materials will be supplied.

3D Wool sculpting
In this needle felting class, you will learn to use wool and a needle to sculpt a figure. We will
make a little fish to float in a bowl (no water necessary). You will learn how to sculpt in the round and how to add flat felted pieces to create fins and a tail. This project is beginner friendly.

All materials will be supplied to you for this project.

Wet Felted Painting
In this 4 hour workshop, we will learn to use water and soap to felt a background for a painted wool landscape. Once it is finished, we will needle felt and embroider on top. A basic
knowledge of stitching would be helpful, but not required as you could skip the embroidery if
desired and still have a beautiful and framed finished project to take home.

Beginners are welcome - you must bring a bath-sized towel and a hand towel to this class.

All other materials will be available for you to use during class. If you want to bring a little notebook to take notes, that would be a good reference for your future felting work.
