Animal Wood Craving by Owl Eyes Survival Register View Cart

WoodCarving sp25
Owl Eyes Survival is a "traveling" wilderness survival school that seeks to connect people of all ages to the landscape in hopes to protect and restore our natural world. OEWS strongly believes that in order to see the natural world as "home", we must experience hands on activities that lead us to see the forest as a positive and safe place to be. Come learn with us!

Animal Wood Carving
Learn how to carve wood into animals and utensils! Students will learn knife techniques, safety, and blade sharpening at the beginning of class. Class will also cover the overall "how-to" on carving. All tools and materials will be provided including knives, sharpeners, and locally sourced carving wood. Students usually make a finished project by the end of class. Skills covered are knife sharpening, wood selection, carving techniques, tools needed and step by step process on the project.
